Attendance/Participation:
Regular class attendance is a responsibility and a privilege of university education. It is fundamental to the orderly acquisition of knowledge. Students should recognize the advantages of regular class attendance, accept it as a personal responsibility, and apprise themselves of the consequences of poor attendance.
Students absent from class are responsible for catching up on missed material on their own time. One absence per semester is permitted. For each additional absence beyond the first, a deduction of 50 points will be made from the students final grade point count. Additionally, students will be permitted one late arrival. After the first, each tardy will result in a deduction of 5 points from their final point count. If a student is later than 5 minutes into the start of class, it will be counted as tardy.
Please see the instructor with any questions regarding the attendance policy.
