Specific conditions under which the great plays of the world have been produced. Origins through the late French Renaissance up to the English Restoration. Prerequisite: THR 201.

Identify major historical periods of theatre history and key theatre artists and their work.
Recognize major theatrical figures and their work by studying critical theatre texts.
Demonstrate knowledge, research, and analysis of theatre history, dramatic literature, and critical theory across time and cultures employing written, oral, and performative communication skills.
Analyze plays, dramatic theory, and performances.
Propose and execute a project that contains in-depth research on a subject of your choice, rooted in your field of interest.

Attendance/Participation:
