Course Description
Basic knowledge of theory and research in second language acquisition and literacy development and strategies and techniques for effective literacy instruction for multilingual learners.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Understand the foundational knowledge of reading and writing processes and instruction.
- Implement a wide range of instructional practices, approaches, and methods that address reading and writing for multilingual learners.
- Create instructional materials for literacy instruction.
- Interpret assessment data to design individualized literacy instruction.

Attendance/Participation:
Attendance at all Teams meetings is expected for the full 2 hours. Points will be deducted for each missed meeting or for arriving tardy or leaving early. Students are expected to participate in meetings
