Course Description
Survey of the operations functions of organizations with emphasis on design and control decisions. Qualitative and quantitative problem-solving methods used to enhance managerial competence in the operations functions. Prerequisite: ISM 110 and ECO 250 or STA 108.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
Characterize the elements of globally sustainable operations management showing how these elements are brought together to support and advance business strategy for successful results.
Understand the concepts of quality and how it is managed within the operations management framework.
Use project management techniques to manage and evaluate the effectiveness of a project.
Describe the objectives of planning processes from forecasting to operational plans.
Use inventory management techniques to illustrate the importance of applicable operational decisions.
Identify key supply chain concepts including JIT and lean operations management.
