Course Description
Scientific research on psychological aspects of art, the creative process, and the nature of genius and expertise, with examples from fine art, music, literature, architecture, and industrial design.

Student Learning Outcomes, Goals, Objectives:
Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
1) demonstrate knowledge of major psychological theories and their application to art, creativity, and expertise in art
2) demonstrate knowledge of scientific research related to the psychology of art, creativity, and expertise/genius
3) understand journal quality metrics, read scientific papers, and use PsycINFO to find papers of interest
