Course Description

Examination of political behavior, processes, and institutions in city as a special focus for study of politics and government in United States. Discussion and readings directed to current development in American cities.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

  • Define research questions as they apply to the field of urban politics.
  • Collect relevant data and secondary sources.
  • Present evidence-based arguments.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in writing.
  • Write in genres appropriate to the discipline of urban politics.
