Explores the causes of interpersonal and inter-group tensions and the techniques (micro-level processes) to address them effectively whether in the workplace, community, or at home.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Explore reflective practitioner techniques to identify one's own styles and preferences in conflict
- Choose among approaches and techniques to address interpersonal and intragroup conflict
- Apply theories of and research on interpersonal and intragroup conflict to examine the origins
- Apply nonviolent and participatory communication and facilitation principles and techniques
