Course Description
Tools and techniques to interpret and measure treatment effectiveness, disease incidence and prevalence, and the efficacy of research findings are applied to population-level decision-making. Prerequisite: Admission to D.N.P. program and undergraduate statistics course.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Use statistical methods to assess scientific studies and disease incidence and prevalence.
- Interpret data patterns linked to gender, socioeconomic status, age, zip code, and other demographic categories.
- Apply principles of measurement, statistical inference, and decision tree development in advanced decision-making.
- Judge the quality and safety of products used on humans.

Attendance/Participation:
Working through the weekly course modules in a timely fashion is necessary to complete the objectives of the course. This course is conducted in an asynchronous online format, students are expected to read assigned materials and be prepared before working through the content for each week on Canvas. Students’ activity on canvas may be monitored to account for a student’s attendance. Completing weekly assigned tasks is fundamental to the orderly acquisition of knowledge. In cases of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances that require inability to complete assignments in a timely fashion, please inform the instructor via email as soon as possible. Include details about the situation and, if appropriate, provide supporting documentation.
