Course Description
Exposure to and experience with complex research methods that address emerging issues in nursing and health sciences knowledge. Course content addresses multiple areas of emerging and innovative research. Prerequisite: NUR 702, NUR 703, NUR 704, NUR 707 or equivalents, or permission of instructor.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Discuss complex methodology required for answering critical research and practice questions.
- Analyze how data science and big data can be leveraged as innovative strategies to improve health.
- Demonstrate how mixed methods research extends knowledge development that is different from traditional qualitative or quantitative methods.
- Evaluate the use of comparative effectiveness research and emerging sciences for supporting and evaluating health policy, delivery systems, and care quality.
