Course Description
Faculty supervised direct and indirect practice experiences that prepare D.N.P. students to function in advanced nursing roles. Includes practice experiences that integrate previous skills, promote innovative thinking, and test potential solutions to clinical practice or system issues. Emphasizes practice roles commensurate with health system needs and improved healthcare outcomes. Prerequisite: Previous practicum hours in an accredited M.S.N. program.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Engage in interprofessional collaboration in complex healthcare delivery systems.
- Perform self-evaluation of skills for practice leadership at an advanced level, and accountability in designing, delivering, and evaluating care in complex situations.
- Synthesize previous knowledge and skills, practicum experiences, and individual learning goals to develop innovative solutions to healthcare issues.

Attendance/Participation:
In an asynchronous course, students are expected to identify and commit to specific times within each 7-day week to complete required activities and assignments. A student will be considered absent if they fail to participate in assignments that involve peer interaction, such as discussion board posts or group projects, or if assignments are submitted late. Late submissions may also result in a reduction in the assignment grade.
