Advanced knowledge of pathophysiology and anesthesia nursing care related to persons with hepatic, renal, and endocrine dysfunction.

Student Learning Outcomes, Goals, Objectives:

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

  • Evaluate the contributions of the hepatic, renal, and endocrine systems in maintaining homeostasis.
  • Analyze pathophysiological and nursing concepts related to patients with hepatic, renal, and endocrine dysfunction.
  • Appraise the influence of hepatic, renal, and endocrine dysfunction on the delivery of anesthesia nursing care.
  • Formulate best practices for anesthesia nursing care for the patients with hepatic, renal, and endocrine dysfunction based on the inquiry process.
  • Evaluate case studies of care for persons with hepatic, renal, and endocrine dysfunction.
