Course Description
Focuses on the anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the central nervous system, and anesthesia nursing care related to persons with neurological dysfunction.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Compare and contrast the contributions of the central and peripheral nervous systems in maintaining homeostasis.
- Create a plan of care for the patient with neurological dysfunction based on scientific principles of pathophysiology, pharmacology, and nursing.
- Appraise the influence of neurological dysfunction on the delivery of anesthesia nursing care.
- Formulate best practices for anesthesia nursing practice based on the inquiry process.
- Describe how caring is used to support the patient with neurological dysfunction.

Attendance/Participation:
