Course Description
Provides nurse anesthesia graduate students with an introduction to the principles of clinical anesthesia practice. Engages students in a variety of simulation and case study activities addressing the fundamentals of safe anesthesia practice across the spectrum of anesthesia care. Prerequisite: NUR 727; Corequisite: NUR 734.

Student Learning Outcomes, Goals, Objectives:
Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Design a safe anesthesia plan of care.
- Demonstrate the employment of safe anesthesia techniques in the performance of simulated anesthesia interventions.
- Demonstrate the ability to safely use anesthesia and adjunctive equipment.
- Apply airway management techniques to effectively manage ventilation of patients.
- Assess the appropriateness of anesthesia interventions.
