Course Description

Application of advanced health assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills using laboratory exercises on individuals across the lifespan. Corequisite: NUR 713.

Student Learning Outcomes, Goals, Objectives:

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

  • Perform a comprehensive health history, including risk assessment of individuals.
  • Synthesize information from focused assessments and relevant differential diagnosis.
  • Demonstrate verbal ability to communicate assessment findings and hypotheses derived from the synthesis of client data.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive and focused assessment for the advanced practice role.
  • Describe the application and interpretation of common laboratory and diagnostic test used in assessment of individual.
