Nursing care of individuals/families with acute physiological illness. Prerequisite: Admission to M.S.N. Prelicensure Entry-Level Concentration, NUR 510, NUR 510L, NUR 618, NUR 618L, NUR 705; Corequisite: NUR 617, NUR 619L.

Student Learning Outcomes, Goals, Objectives:
Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Develop individualized plans of care within the framework of the nursing process for patients with acute illness(es) in acute care settings.
- Integrate principles of evidence-based practice to foster a culture of safe and quality nursing care
- Critique the impact of health problems common to individuals with acute illness.
- Perform the roles of the registered nurse using principles of professional nursing practice.
- Collaborate with members of the health care team to provide holistic care for individuals with acute health problems.
- Analyze how information systems and technology are used to guide clinical decision-making and evaluate client outcomes for individuals with an acute illness.
