An integrated approach to team development and function using an interprofessional/interdisciplinary model.

Student Learning Outcomes, Goals, Objectives:

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

  • Articulate personal strengths and limitations as well as those of team members in nursing management in the healthcare setting
  • Advocate for a disciplinary view within healthcare communities.
  • Evaluate the knowledge, skills, behaviors, and attitudes required for an individual to function as an effective member of an Interprofessional/Interdisciplinary team.
  • Lead Interprofessional/Interdisciplinary teams in the analysis of complex practice and organizational issues.
  • Demonstrate group skills, including communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, delegation, time management, and assessment of group dynamics.

Attendance/Participation:
