Student Learning Outcomes, Goals, Objectives:
Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Analyze global women’s health issues from an economic, political, and social perspective.
- Describe health problems affecting women in under-developed regions of the world.
- Describe the influence of sexual and reproductive customs and rituals of women globally.
- Analyze the impact of demographics and diversity on the care of women throughout their lifespan.
- Advocate for women from marginalized populations experiencing health-related issues.
- Analyze perspectives on the concept of health as a right or a privilege considering women's health issues, concerns, and available resources.
- Find, interpret, and evaluate information on diverse cultures. (LG1)
- Describe interconnections among regions of the world. (LG3)
- Use diverse cultural frames of reference and alternative perspectives to analyze issues. (LG5)
- Compare and contrast at least two different ethical perspectives of health in a global context. (LG6)

Attendance/Participation:

Extenuating Circumstances:In cases of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances that require your absence, please inform the instructor via email as soon as possible. Include details about the situation and, if appropriate, provide supporting documentation.
Repeated unexcused absences or failure to notify the instructor may negatively impact your grade. Exceptions to this policy will be considered on a case-by-case basis for legitimate and documented reasons.
