Performance studies instruction on principal instrument, voice, composition, or conducting. Prerequisite: By audition; Notes: Curricular Practical Training Required for F1 Visa Holders.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Demonstrate skills in performance/audition preparation and artistic self-expression at a level appropriate for the particular music concentration.
- Apply pedagogical concepts in the performance medium.
- Offer, receive, and/or respond to feedback.
- Express artistic/intellectual goals of their performances based on contextual knowledge, knowledge of self, and understanding of their intended audience.
