Focus on the entrepreneurship knowledge, skills, and career development to enable students to become the architect of his/her future. Notes: Same as ENT 661.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

  • Develop professional materials that support a sustainable career in music, including biographies, websites, and electronic press kits.

  • Analyze and evaluate entrepreneurial opportunities within the music and performing arts industries using business planning principles.

  • Apply market research, financial planning, branding, and marketing strategies to the development of a music-related business venture.

  • Communicate professional artistic and entrepreneurial identities through written, digital, and oral presentations.

  • Demonstrate critical engagement with current issues in music entrepreneurship through readings, podcasts, videos, and class discussions.
