Course Description

A workshop class where pedagogy of musical composition is discussed and recent works by student and professional composers are presented, performed, coached, and/or discussed. Corequisite: Enrollment in Performance Studies Instruction.

  • Discuss current developments in music composition.

  • State observations on other’s compositions.

  • Respond to observations offered by the instructor and other class members.
