Course Description
Focus on entrepreneurship knowledge, skills and career development in the performing arts. Prerequisite: Junior or senior standing; Note: Students who have prior credit for ENT 402 or VPA 402 may not take MUP 402 for credit.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
Develop professional materials that support a sustainable career in music, including biographies, websites, and electronic press kits.
Analyze and evaluate entrepreneurial opportunities within the music and performing arts industries using business planning principles.
Apply market research, financial planning, branding, and marketing strategies to the development of a music-related business venture.
Communicate professional artistic and entrepreneurial identities through written, digital, and oral presentations.
Demonstrate critical engagement with current issues in music entrepreneurship through readings, podcasts, videos, and class discussions.
