Instrumental Music in Schools

Course Description

Methods of teaching instrumental music; study of administrative procedures, repertoire, personnel, and resources; application of music teaching techniques. Reading education, cultural diversity, and exceptional learner content will be explored in detail. Prerequisite: MUE 261, MUE 363, MUE 364, MUE 365, MUE 366, and MUE 367; admission to the Teacher Education Program; senior standing or permission of instructor.

Attendance/Participation:

Attendance at all Tuesday/Thursday classes and Friday IMML labs is required. Absences beyond the allowed limit will result in a grade reduction per university policy.
