Course Description
Study of US show-, corps-, and hybrid-style marching bands with emphasis on drill design, auxiliary units, and repertoire selection. Includes organization, personnel, equipment management, budgeting, and traveling with high school students. Prerequisite: Admission to the Teacher Education Program; junior standing or permission of instructor.

Attendance/Participation:
Miss no more than 4 scheduled classes for any reason. Each absence beyond 4 will result in a grade reduction of one complete letter grade per absence. Two instances of tardiness are equal to one absence. For example, if a student has a B+ final grade in the class and also has 5 absences and two tardies (five total absences, two over the limit), the student will receive a D+ as a final grade.
