Course Description
Supervised participation in radio broadcasting or program production at the campus radio station WUAG. Notes: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 3 s.h.

Student Learning Outcomes, Goals, Objectives:
Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Be able to critically evaluate the fit between potential careers and their own values, goals, abilities, and education.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the WUAG organizational infrastructure and how it works.
- Possess an expanded awareness in how community radio can interface, reflect, and support the greater communities in the area.
- Demonstrate technical their knowledge of the station’s equipment for running a radio program and creating content.
- Reenforce their knowledge of proper etiquette / protocols for on-air show formats.
- Be able to write brief and impacting music reviews.
- Be able to compare and contrast course concepts as presented in texts and as they emerge in community experience.
- Be able to analyze how DJs curate their programming to reflect cultural dynamics and appeal to specific audiences. (the reciprocal dynamic of listener and Programmer.)
