International Business: Operations and Environments in Foreign Jurisdictions

Course Description

Study of international business environments from the managerial aspect, and of practices and principles of conducting international business from the perspective of a specific foreign country. Prerequisite: Restricted to students who are Pre admitted to or admitted to majors in the Business School (PACC, ACCT, PBAD, BADM, CARS, PCYB, PCYM, CYBE, CYMA, ECON, PECO, ECOS, PENT, ENTR, PFIN, FINC, PHTM, HTMT, PHUR, HURM, PINT, INTB, PISC, ISSC, PMKT, or MKTG).

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

  • Understand the globalization of countries, industries, and firms.
  • Discuss differences between countries and cultures as they relate to global management.
  • Describe and evaluate different strategies, actions, and structures for becoming a successful global or international firm.
