Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

  • Distinguish among and appropriately use key terms and concepts related to arts, trauma, well-being, memory, and healing.
  • Interpret research on arts, health, and well-being and use evidence to make appropriately qualified claims about them.
  • Analyze how communities use the arts to interpret and respond to contested events and histories.
  • Engage in and reflect upon the practice of contemplative photography.
  • Make culturally specific and ethically informed claims about global arts, trauma, well-being, memory, and healing.
