Course Description
Storytelling and digital storytelling methods, techniques, and materials including literature and programming. Prerequisite: Admission to the MLIS degree program.

Student Learning Outcomes, Goals, Objectives:
Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Understand the scope of the oral sharing of literature with users of all ages.
- Become acquainted with the professional literature of storytelling.
- Develop the skill of discernment in the selection of stories.
- Understand and master the technique of storytelling.
- Build a small repertoire of tales for telling.
- Become acquainted with the body of literature associated with storytelling, e.g. folktales, fairy tales, legends, myths, along with modern literature such as picture books, poetry and holiday materials.
