Modern principles and practices in curriculum construction and current theories of curriculum development in Kinesiology.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Apply systematic design criteria to develop a curriculum responsive to community needs.
- Integrate culturally relevant pedagogy and Universal Design for Learning principles.
- Conduct needs assessments and comparative analyses for curriculum development.
- Understand the roles of ALL stakeholders in developing curricula.
- Align curriculum with current standards, policies, and technological tools.
- Develop instructional and assessment strategies that promote fairness and engagement.
- Develop a basic understanding of prominent theories of learning and their main assumptions.
- Create sustainability and scalability plans for curriculum implementation.
