Intensive examination of specific topics; critical review of current literature. Prerequisite: Prerequisites and defined research competencies will vary according to topic; Notes: May be repeated for credit when topic varies.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
Develop a problem statement which guides their research and writing.
Conduct a search of the literature to locate valid and reliable resources.
Utilize resources to support their research interests, including professional organizations and journals related to the field of kinesiology.
Develop a purpose statement and research questions/aims.
Write a literature review that synthesizes the existing body of work by researchers, scholars, and practitioners.
