Recognizing, evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating various lower extremity orthopedic injuries commonly sustained in the athletic environment.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Students will be able to assess various pathologies related to the lower extremity
- Students will be able to design acute care treatment interventions for lower extremity pathologies
- Students will be able to evaluate the efficacy of therapeutic interventions for lower extremity pathologies
- Students will be able to defend their clinical decisions regarding patient care

Attendance/Participation:
You will be allowed to miss 1 class. Attendance will be maintained via Canvas. If you are experiencing a prolonged absence where multiple consecutive absences will occur (emergency, COVID, etc.) you should contact the Dean of Students. The DOS will notify the instructor and accommodations may be made based on that. Only notifications from UNCG will be accepted for possible accommodations. 3 tardies will result in 1 absence. Accumulation of 2 absences will result in a demotion of grade by 1 level (e.g. A to B+) and an incident report being filed.
