Course Description

Overview of assessment, evaluation, and research methods in kinesiology; emphasis on applications to professional practice. Prerequisite: Grade of C- or higher in KIN 220 and KIN 250; sophomore standing.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

1.  identify valid and reliable psychomotor and psychometric assessment tools,

2. conduct field-based fitness assessments,

3. demonstrate an understanding of assessment and evaluation principles,

4. analyze data statistically, and

5. interpret results meaningfully

There are 27 class meetings, and each class is worth 4 points each (27 x 4 = 108 points). A late arrival (15+ minutes) is a 2-point deduction.
