Course Description
Instruction in the prevention, recognition, and basic care of common injuries and illnesses that occur in a sport and exercise setting. Prerequisite: Grade of C- or higher in KIN 250 and KIN 291 (or BIO 271).

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Select appropriate medical terminology when discussing injuries
- Evaluate the roles and responsibilities of the sports medicine team.
- Examine common exercise and sport injuries and illnesses
- Design post injury treatment protocols
- Analyze strategies to reduce risk of injury and illness.
