Course Description

Selected physical activities with special emphasis on movement observation and analysis.

Student Learning Outcomes, Goals, Objectives:

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of skill themes, movement concepts, and the basis of movement analysis.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the application of movement patterns to all levels of motor skill ability.
  • Analyze & evaluate skill/task performance and demonstrate how to apply changes to technique to enhance skill/task performance.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of movement analysis in their role as future health practitioners.
  • Review and interpret current literature in the field as it relates to the performance of physical activity in a variety of settings and across the lifespan.
