Course Description
An introduction to modern methods for defining, planning, managing, and controlling substantial projects in information organizations. Computer technology is used to support the efficient management of interdependent activities. Prerequisite: LIS 199; Information Science Majors.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Apply the elementary concepts of project planning and organization, budgeting and control and project life cycles.
- Apply concepts related to organizational workflow including the staffing process, project planning elements and the project plan contents.
- Demonstrate the basics of using project management software in some project management activities.
- Describe the related concepts of organizational forms, conflict resolution, and issues related to leadership and task management in a project environment.
