Course Description
Principles of Business Analytics introduced students to the advanced techniques in the use of business computing applications, including spreadsheets, database systems, and linkage between applications to enhance productivity. Students study how end-user applications are managed and contribute to business. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in ISM 110.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
Transform raw data into various data formats and structures that are more appropriate for business analytics.
Understand the basics of Python language, and Jupyter Notebooks.
Use Python built-in data structures, and functions.
Perform numerical computing with NumPy.
Load and store data with Pandas.
Clean and prepare data with Pandas.
Compute statistics and create basic plotting and visualization to describe data and explore patterns in the data.
Perform data wrangling and aggregation with Pandas.
Create data visualization with matplotlib, pandas, and seaborn.
Understand the basics of data modeling with Patsy and statsmodels.

Attendance/Participation:
Late/missed assignments: Sufficient time is provided for each assignment, so students are expected to submit their work by the deadline. If no valid reason or documentation is provided, no late submission will be accepted.
