This course provides an overview of cyber security essentials. Any loss of data or compromise devastates a corporation. This course covers essential aspects of cyber security management.

All individual assignments (Virtual Labs, Quizzes, Exercises and bonus questions) must be completed by the individual and not worked on as group assignments. Students may seek the general advice of others (any student or faculty), but at no time should a student seek or accept the answer to an assignment exercise from anyone else. A single failure to follow this policy will result in a grade of 0 on that assignment; subsequent violations of this policy will result in a grade of F for the course. Please ask the instructor if you have questions about this policy, prior to seeking the advice or direction of another person.
Final grades will be assigned based on the total points earned according to the following scale:

Attendance/Participation:
For the face-to-face section/s of this course, regular attendance and active participation are expected. Students may miss up to three classes without penalty. Students who miss more than 30% of scheduled classes may face additional penalties at the instructor’s discretion. Excused absences may be considered with university-approved documentation.
All assignments (Labs and quizzes) must be submitted before the deadline. Missing the deadline will result in 20% penalty. All assignments that are submitted after the deadline will receive 80% of their grades.
