Introduction to healthcare data, data systems, and different kinds of applications of analytics for health care, including clinical and research applications.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
Summarize the scholarly discipline of health informatics and how it is applied to objective/clinical applications.
Identify existing validity questions and circumstances related to health informatics and provide workable resolutions.
Evaluate the variety of ways that health data relates to health care applications—this includes clinical, administrative, and financial data
Analyze the significance of incorporating research, clinical data, and theory for purposes of enhancing patient consequences
Summarize the different kinds of data that exist in the healthcare domain
