Attendance/Participation:

Attendance and participants counts as 10% of your final grade in this class. Students are expected to attend every class and contribute regularly to classroom discussions based on their assessment of assigned readings, other relevant materials, and their personal or professional experience. Students are expected to come prepared for each class session and should actively contribute to class discussions. Any unexcused absences will result in not earning the full percentage points for class attendance/ participation. Being late to class (by more than 10 minutes) two times will be considered an absence. For each unexcused absence, 1 point will be deducted from your final grade.

While attendance is important for your learning in this class, I also understand that there are sometimes circumstances that may make you unable to attend class or may cause you to be late for class. Please reach out to me (in advance, when possible) to request an excused absence or to be excused for being late to class.
