Course Description
This course emphasizes integration of project management and leadership to build skills needed for effective and efficient work in healthcare settings. Prerequisite: Junior or Senior Standing.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Recognize common leadership values embodied in healthcare professionals.
- Identify personal values, contributions, and development opportunities for leadership in healthcare settings.
- Analyze leadership strategies and skills needed to overcome common challenges encountered in healthcare settings.
- Differentiate the difference between leadership and management in healthcare.
- Distinguish the processes of the project management lifecycle utilized in healthcare settings.
- Combine leadership skills and project management processes and strategies towards the completion of a healthcare-related group project.

Attendance/Participation:
Attendance and punctuality are professional behaviors that students are expected to consistently demonstrate as future healthcare professionals. Therefore, attendance in this class is evaluated on a Pass/Fail basis rather than through partial credit.
The attendance grade reflects whether the minimum attendance standard established for the course has been met, not how close a student comes to meeting that standard.
Students who meet the attendance expectations outlined in the Attendance Policy will receive full attendance credit. Students who do not meet these expectations will not earn attendance credit.
