Attendance/Participation:
Students enrolled in any Human Health Sciences (HHS) course follow the “A” Means Excellence Attendance Policy. To earn an “A” in any HHS course, students must have no more than three unexcused absences (those that do not involve a verified illness, family emergency, religious observance, or University sponsored event) throughout the term. Missing class more than three times without an excuse does not reflect the level of engagement and effort expected for an “A.”
Active participation in discussions and activities is expected.
Late submissions will incur a penalty unless prior arrangements are made.
Exit tickets are part of class participation and cannot be made up when class is missed.
Regular class attendance is a responsibility and a privilege of university education. It is fundamental to the orderly acquisition of knowledge. Students will not be graded for attendance; however, class activities will take place without announcement and cannot be made up without a documented excuse.
Student athletes must make prior arrangements in advance for any conflicts with their schedule and due dates for this course.
