Advanced study of designated contemporary topics in Human Development and Family Studies. Prerequisite: Doctoral standing or permission of instructor; Notes: May be repeated for credit.

Student Learning Outcomes, Goals, Objectives:
Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Understand basic psychometrics related to the measurement of latent variables.
- Understand the necessity of establishing reliability and validity with respect to behavioral constructs.
- Conduct advanced measurement using sophisticated software.
- Understand the importance of measurement invariance testing for cross-group and longitudinal research.
- Proceed from the stages of measurement development through validation.
