Course Description
Seminar dealing with topics in equity and/or society as related to environmental and/or sustainability issues in an interdisciplinary framework. Prerequisite: GES 662 or permission of instructor; Notes: May be repeated when the topic varies for up to 9 s.h. of credit in the major.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Identify problems to investigate causes and solutions
- Evaluate the quality and relevance of information
- Explain key concepts, theories, perspectives, and criticisms within the given topic in equity and/or society as related to environmental and/or sustainability issues.
- Evaluate key concepts, theories, perspectives, and criticisms within the given topic in equity and/or society as related to environmental and/or sustainability issues.
- Create professional oral communication on the given topic in equity and/or society as related to environmental and/or sustainability issues.
- Analyze spatial and environmental data to assess urban sustainability systems and develop evidence-based strategies to improve environmental outcomes.
