Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
Music Objectives
- Explain the Indian Notation System and why it matters writing traditional compositions using the same notation system.
- Describe the Guru Shishya Parampara and how the oral tradition of learning helps creativity.
- Perform Indian Classical using any one traditional Indian Instrument (Sarod, Sitar or Tabla)
- Learn about cultural values while learning North Indian Classical music.
- Identify stages of group development and explain appropriate responses for each stage.
- Demonstrate interpersonal awareness during live performance
