Course Description
Group study and performance of selected chamber music literature/jazz combo literature (non-conducted) with emphasis on development of independent chamber music performance skills. Personnel and repertoire assigned by performance faculty. Prerequisite: Permission of instructor; Notes: May be repeated for credit when repertoire varies.

Student Learning Outcomes, Goals, Objectives:
Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Improved Communication Skills: Working closely in small groups in real time allows students to grow their ability to articulate problems, to suggest methods of resolution and to collaborate diplomatically.
- Improved Rehearsal Technique Skills: The student will acquire and develop rehearsal methods to solve challenges such as rhythmic alignment, group intonation and consensus on musical phrasing and character.
- Improved Scheduling, Planning and Structure Skills: Students are responsible for organizing and structuring rehearsals, planning where to focus their efforts and how to structure their shared and individual time.
- Added Repertoire: The student will learn at least one new piece or performance style, with historical and artistic context
- Increased Performance Experience: The student will participate in opportunities for live performance while collaborating with others, helping them to grow as musicians.
