Course Description
Students are assigned vocal and/or instrumental students to accompany with literature appropriate to the student's level. Fulfills large ensemble requirement for keyboard performance majors. Prerequisite: MUP 284/MUP 285 or permission of instructor; Notes: May be repeated for a total of 5 semester hours.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
Gain professional experience as a collaborative pianist by accompanying a vocalist or instrumentalist for their lessons and performances
Develop a sense of musical partnership
Explore vocal and/or instrumental repertoire appropriate to the individual level
Continue to polish the keyboard performance skills
Advance the sight reading skills
Improve the ability to communicate musical intentions

Attendance/Participation:
At least eight individual coaching sessions with the instructor during the semester; less than eight will result in 0 points for each missing session.
An absence should be notified 24 hours in advance, excluding emergencies.
