Attendance/Participation:
Attendance for this course is required as if you’re rehearsing in a professional ensemble. Therefore, you are expected to attend every class. Absences that result from UNCG sanctioned events will not be excused, provided that the course instructor is provided appropriate documentation prior to the absence. Students have 24 hours after an absence to contact the instructor in person or via email as to the nature of an absence.
Excessive absences for regular class periods will negatively impact your final grade by at least a letter grade. Missing a performance without a medical or emergency excuse will drop your grade by at least two letter grades.
