Exploration of diverse perspectives on choreography: process, period, style, and genre. Individualized problems and projects developed with each student artist. Notes: May be repeated for credit.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Act on an initial stimulus; freedom to explore :: impulse
- Filter that stimulus through a variety of lenses related to tone, messaging, audience, and implication; streamlining and parsing through information :: investigation
- Hybridize outcomes to begin thinking about layered narratives or ordered systems :: sequencing

This course supports students’ artistic development by strengthening their ability to generate original choreography, engage critically with creative processes, explore diverse compositional approaches, and build confidence in articulating their artistic voice, intentions, and choreographic direction.
