Course Description

Development of performance skills for dancers placed at the 300-level technique or higher through rehearsals and performances of a dance work choreographed by dance faculty or professional dance artists. Prerequisite: Dance BFA Major; Corequisite: DCE 312, or DCE 324, or DCE 412, or DCE 424, or permission of the instructor; Notes: May be repeated three times for up to 4 credit hours.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

  • Apply collaborative and diverse approaches to learning choreographic material.
  • Sustain increased physical and performing stamina while realizing a choreographer's intent.
  • Participate in a professional model of rehearsal, production, and performance.

Attendance/Participation:

Students are expected to attend all class sessions and maintain the School of Dance's required 80% participation rate to receive credit for the course.
