Course Description
An introductory study of Pilates as a body/mind practice that develops physical competency and enhances quality of life through exercise, breath awareness and healthy living practice.

- Demonstrate foundational Pilates principles including alignment, breathing, neutral spine, and core stability.
- Apply Pilates exercises to improve strength, flexibility, posture, and range of motion.
- Reflect on the relationship between movement practice and personal wellbeing.

Attendance/Participation:
Regular attendance and active participation are expected. The School of Dance requires students to meet the minimum participation requirements established by the program. Attendance and participation contribute to the final course grade.
