Dance Performance Workshop

Course Description

Workshop experiences in dance creation and performance practices. Informal or formal presentation of choreographic works created with faculty and/or graduate students in dance. Prerequisite: Dance major; Notes: May be repeated once for credit.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

  • Apply technical skills needed for complex movement material and choreographic concepts.
  • Demonstrate increased ability to use the body as an instrument of artistic expression.
  • Analyze and discuss artistic and technical growth through feedback and self-assessment.
  • Demonstrate self-discipline and self-motivation in the development of performance skills.

Regular attendance and active participation are essential to successful completion of rehearsals and performances. Students are expected to engage fully in all course activities, rehearsals, and performance-related responsibilities.
